February 14th; A Trade Day

The title sounds weird right? yeah!!  February 14th has unconsciously turned a trade day for teenagers, 98% of teenagers engaged themselves in a "trade by barter" deal on val day.
Valentine's day had become a day where teenagers negotiate their pride and destiny all in the name of showing love. I'm not saying its wrong to show love, but there are other means of showing love to your "assumed" loved one without trading  your values.
God's definition of love is keeping his commandments. the commandments of God are there because HE LOVES US. The commandments of God gives us the guidelines on how to have a fulfilling, blessed and joyful love. Valentine's day is just the opposite. There is nothing wrong in showing love to others, afterall it is the most valued christian characteristics, but what has been lost is how we go about it.. showing love as God instructs is not wrong- romantic love included (for married couples). it's a good thing to express your love towards others through cards, flowers, dinning out etc .. but don't do it under the trapping of devaluing yourself (fear of losing your partner).
God is personified by the characteristics of love (1 john 4:8). Godly love is genuine outgoing concern for others as God would love them - not as a selfish love.
Teenagers had allowed valentine day to carter for the very human nature that we have. Though we are not perfect but we are created by a perfect God, why allow yourself to be drown in the ocean of lust and indecision?
On February 14th of every year:
Most destinies will be traded for fun, innocent lives will be brought to suffer (unwanted pregnancy), careers will be destroyed, values will be lost, self esteem will disappear, so many lives will be thrown into bondage, the spirit of indecision and lust will take over, bodies and spirits will be defiled.

Why not take up your mantle and run for value..?

Be an advocate of self value, never compromise your values for anything(NOT even gold)

Remember all that glitters are not gold.....

You have the power to determine your future now..

Show love wisely!!!

Marvelous God

God saw everything he had made, and indeed, it was good.......Before you were born God saw you. He knew the specific purpose you were designed to fulfil, so he provided you with the gifts you'd need, and the environment required to put it all together. Then he looked at you and said, "very good!" ........ Can you say that too?

When you begin to understand that God loves you unconditionally, you'll be able to accept yourself as you are, and accept others as they are too.......

How often have you gone through something and later realised that it was necessary? If you hadn't sustained this, or walk through that, you wouldn't be ready for the blessing you're enjoying now. Right? It's when you begin to see "God" in it, that it becomes "marvelous" in your eyes..When that happens you can stand up and say, "here's how I see it. It took all I ve been through to make me what I am today. Therefore, I chose to be better, not bitter. I trust the faithfulness of God. If he doesn't move this mountain, he'll give me strength to endure until tomorrow. And if its not gone by tomorrow, I'll still believe he is able, and trust him until he does. Line up your opinion with God's! Appreciate who he made you to be, and develop what he gave you. Stop wishing you were somebody else . you are a unique blend of gifts and characters. You have a special destiny on earth. You are somebody because God loves you----- Remember that!!!

Imperfection

Why am i not perfect? i wonder if you have ever asked yourself same question,
Though our God is perfect and he created us in his own image, but we cant be perfect because we are not God, he is the one with no blemish...
most people lament on things they dont have, why is he/she so cute and am ugly?
why cant i also have those expensive clothes and shoes? why am i so short? why cant i do this and that? bla! bla!! bla!!! but have you ever for once realise that you possess something someone is dying to have? do you for once asked why he gave you something someone else wanted?
i use to be in those shoes but i realised that your obsession to be perfect will:

1. keep you trapped in loneliness, for satisfying relationships can only be built on honesty and openness,
2. force you to see your shortcomings as something to hide, instead of opportunities for growth;
3. keep you fixated on what you are going to be someday, instead of enjoying what you are right now- present tense;
4.rob you of the chance to make your life count, for by focusing constantly on yourself, you will have nothing left to give to others.

Encourage yourself, you have the power to!

Today you have a choice; either to let others determine your worth or God does!!!

AFTER MY 18TH BIRTHDAY

I felt it’s time for me to go into a relationship; thank God I have been bestowed with a good body and curves. Just wanna meet up with my friends but I’m a little scared; not scared of being in a relationship buh because I’m still a virgin scared of losing it. My friends said it is not a big deal though.

On a Saturday evening I met him again at the mall, he looked more cute and charming than before, that same feeling I used to have whenever I set my eyes on him almost swept me off my feet, he winked and approached me as usual; “felt cold and warm on the spot (mixed feelings)”, Read more...
